Gresham is a city just outside the city of Portland. Approximately 23.42 square miles with a population of 109, 397 make it the 4th largest city in Oregon. Gresham has a median household income of $45,747 and an average house value of $204,300.


Originally known as “Campground” because it was a popular stopping point for pioneers on the Oregon Trail, it was later named after Union Civil War General Walter Quinton Gresham who was the towns first post master. Gresham was founded as a town in 1884 with the establishment of its first post office and was later incorporated as a city in 1905.


The majority of Gresham’s residents are involved in the sales or production/transportation industries. Gresham also has a large medical and surgical industry. There are good indicators that Gresham has a high percentage of entrepreneurs creating jobs.

Endless Summer Cruise-In – This weekly event in historic downtown Gresham happens every Wednesday from June-September featuring over 65 great classic cars and good eats, put on by the Pharaoh’s Street Rodder’s Car Club.

Farmer’s Market – One of Gresham’s best kept secrets can only be found at this weekly street market, the berries. Once boasting a multitude of farms, growing a wide variety of berries from cane berries, strawberries to blueberries. Now entering its 12th year in operation the Gresham Farmer’s Market is the premier place to pick up berries for all your baking and canning needs.
